📍 Pozzomaggiore, from Via Campu to the Church of San Costantino The day begins with the flags setting off from the headquarters of the Obriere Maggiore, in Via Campu, towards the Parish Church of San Giorgio. Here, there will be a meeting with the parish priest, Father Vito Lombardi, followed by the blessing of the knights and the flags. The procession continues to the Church of San Costantino, accompanied by the “Città di Sennori” marching band. This is followed by Solemn Vespers, Holy Mass in honour of the deceased Obrieri, the rifle salute and the Ardia. At 10.00 pm, the evening continues with a concert of traditional Sardinian music by Cordas e Cannas, featuring songs from our region. The event forms part of the 2026 San Costantino Festival and Ardia, a historic and devotional ritual in Pozzomaggiore that combines faith, identity and popular culture. At the heart of the festival is the ‘Ardia’, a non-competitive horse race dedicated to Emperor Constantine’s victory over Maxentius at Ponte Milvio. → View the full event
