📍 Bonnanaro The second day is dedicated to the project promoting the Sardinian language and culture, “Poetende e cantende cun Zuseppe Raga”. Giuseppe Raga, one of the most highly regarded poets writing in the Sardinian language in Sardegna, has portrayed Bonnanaro, his home town, through numerous verses that have become part of Sardinia’s poetic and musical heritage. At 6.00 pm, the programme begins with a presentation and the screening of a video dedicated to the works of Giuseppe Raga. Primary school children will read some of the poet’s poems, whilst the Tenores di Thiesi will provide the musical accompaniment to the day with traditional songs. Secondary school pupils will present a research project on the life of Giuseppe Raga. This will be followed by a performance of Sardinian songs accompanied by guitar, dedicated to his verses set to music. At 8.00 pm, a poetry competition will take place featuring Diego Porcu and Dionigi Bitti, accompanied by the Tenores di Thiesi. The 2026 Bonnanaro Cherry Fair is an event dedicated to promoting local cherry production, crafts and the culture of the area. Organised by the Pro Loco Bonnanaro Tourist Association in collaboration with the local council, it brings together in-depth insights, traditions, music and activities for families. → Go to the full event
