International Travelling Street Art Festival – 29th edition

The 2026 edition of the Girovagando Festival presents ‘The Revolt of Beauty – without losing tenderness’, placing the quality of human relationships at its heart.

In a world increasingly marked by war, inequality and the law of the jungle, and in a society riven by hatred, violence and dehumanisation, the festival invites us to embrace a new paradigm of relationships centred on tenderness.

Through art, listening and sharing, Girovagando aims to help reawaken tenderness in the relationships between each of us, so that we may recognise one another, reconnect, respect one another, support one another and set ourselves free.

Tenderness is the expression of a freedom that no one can take away from us.

No censorship, war crime or imprisonment can prevail against the will to remain human.

Beauty thus becomes a movement of empathetic rebellion: a way to share the present and imagine a future free from fear and hatred, in which beauty and solidarity may reign.

Between Sassari and the municipalities of Northern Sardinia, the International Travelling Street Art Festival brings theatre performances, contemporary circus, music, performances, art installations, exhibitions and workshops to the streets and squares.

The programme will involve around 18 companies, for a total of around 50 events, creating an inclusive and peaceful atmosphere dedicated to life, being together and respect for others.

📅 22 August 2026 – Tissi

A travelling ensemble winds its way through the town’s streets with The Marchin’ Ostricas, Circ Panic and Circooltura, presenting a mix of entertaining and thought-provoking shows.

📅 25 August 2026 – Aggius

Le Radiose present *On Air!*, a show combining sound-based clowning and a cappella singing, inspired by the atmosphere of radio broadcasts from the 1930s and 1940s, as part of the ‘Martedì nel Borgo’ programme.

📅 27 August 2026 – Stintino

Le Voci di Astarte and Royal Circus Ostrica take the audience on a journey through dreams, love and music, with Happiness and Nuova Orchestrina Altalena.

📅 3 September 2026 – Sassari

Girovagando arrives in the centre of Sassari with The Marchin’ Ostricas, Jacopo De Carolis, Cie Bruboc, Teatro Nucleo and Wunder Tandem, in a programme spread across the city’s streets and squares.

📅 4 September 2026 – Sassari

The second day in Sassari features Duo Va Pa i, Teatr Migro, Teatro Nucleo, Circooltura and Compagnia Dromosofista, across Piazza San Donato, Palazzo Ducale, Piazza Santa Caterina and Piazza Duomo.

From the city centre to Spazio TEV, the day features a workshop dedicated to Georgia O’Keeffe with Viviana Zanazzi, as well as performances by The Marchin’ Ostricas, Ndaipori Teatro, Le Streghe del Palco, Teatr Migro, Compagnia Dromosofista and Wunder Tandem.

📅 6 September 2026 – Sassari

The final day at Spazio TEV brings together Duo Va Pa i, Le Streghe del Palco, Circooltura, Compagnia Dromosofista and OfeOrin, with a concert of contemporary Afro-Brazilian music.
