Borutta, San Pietro di Sorres

Sa Festa de Su Brou 2026 explores religious memory, local identity and the history of the Borutta area.

The project centres on San Pietro di Sorres, a place linked to the history of the Sorres Deanery and the collective memory of the community.

The Festa del Brodo in San Pietro di Sorres brings together a Eucharistic procession, a communal lunch and festive celebrations, revitalising culture and a sense of belonging.

The programme continues with the Bastida di Sorres 2026 and the medieval re-enactment in San Pietro di Sorres, featuring encampments, scenes of daily life, dances, falconry, juggling and medieval music.

At the heart of the narrative, the battle between the Doria and Aragonese forces at Sorres highlights the bond between the community, the landscape and collective memory.

Screenings, talks and activities open to the public accompany a programme that brings together different eras and forms of expression.
