The 2026 Feast of St Mark returns to Fertilia from 24 to 26 April for its 28th edition.
Organised by the Fertilia St Mark’s Festival Committee, the event forms part of the Fertilia Rinasce project.
Three days dedicated to culture, music, traditions and the region’s culinary and artisanal excellence.
The Feast of St Mark is an opportunity for the community, schools, businesses, associations and organisations working together to support the village’s development to come together.
The programme combines religious events, recreational activities, performances, music and initiatives linked to local history.
Among the most iconic events are the Fertilia Sea Procession, the Giuseppe Santandrea Memorial vintage car exhibition and the bathtub regatta.
The exhibition stands and street food stalls showcase local produce, creating opportunities for interaction between residents and visitors.
The festival also renews the connection with the history of the exiles from Istria, Rijeka and Dalmatia who have contributed to Fertilia’s identity.
The event showcases a historic hamlet in the Alghero area, which forms part of the ‘Città di Fondazione’ project.
A non-seasonal event that heralds the start of the tourist season and restores cultural, social and economic value to the area.
