Uri

Experiences amongst the flavours and traditions of Sardegna – The 2026 Summer Artichoke Festival brings three days dedicated to flavour, culture and community to Uri. Now in its sixteenth year, the event celebrates the Sardinian Spiny Artichoke PDO, a culinary gem deeply rooted in the identity of the region.

Food and wine workshops, tastings, excursions, music and social gatherings bring together residents, visitors and locals returning to the village during the summer. The programme invites visitors to discover traditional knowledge, local specialities, the archaeological heritage and the village’s historic centre.

The Uri Summer Artichoke Festival continues the legacy of the historic spring event dedicated to the village’s iconic produce. In fact, the March 2026 Artichoke Festival was awarded the EPLI ‘Festival of Excellence’ Quality Mark, a national accolade recognising the promotion of traditions, the local area and organisational excellence.

The event is organised by the Pro Loco of Uri under the patronage of the local council. Uri, known as ‘Sa idda de s’Iscarzofa’, welcomes visitors with an authentic experience combining flavours, heritage and hospitality.
