Alghero and Sassari

The City&City 2026 Cultural and Literary Festival addresses Alghero and Sassari through events dedicated to books, music and cultural dialogue.

The festival brings together authors, journalists, musicians, traditional choirs and leading figures from Sardinian and national culture.

Following the May event in Alghero, from 1 to 7 September the Cloister of Santa Maria di Betlem in Sassari will host a week of presentations, readings, performances and concerts.

The event is presented by journalist and radio presenter Maria Pintore.

The photographic exhibition *Gente di Borutta*, curated by Marco Ceraglia, runs throughout the September programme.

The Carpante Farm, a partner of the event, is also offering a wine tasting during the week.

All events are free to attend, subject to availability, with dedicated access for people with disabilities via the library entrance on Via Artiglieria.

The Festival continues from 20 to 22 November at the Tom Benetollo Cultural Centre, at Piazza Castello 11 in Sassari, with a programme dedicated to books, music and socialising.

The City&City Festival is organised by the City&City Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Church of Santa Maria di Betlem, the Giunti al Punto bookshops in Sassari and the Maria Carta Foundation.

The event is made possible with the support of the Autonomous Region of Sardegna, the Sardegna Foundation, the Municipality of Sassari and Camera di Commercio di Sassari via the Salude & Trigu network, with the support of partners C.A.P.R.I. Scarl, Web Solutions and Maggi, and media partner City&City Magazine.
