Travelling event

Bookolica – Festival of Creative Readers 2026, now in its 9th edition, is a multidisciplinary cultural project that weaves together literature, theatre, music, visual arts and participatory activities.

The programme takes place in Northern Sardinia between May and October, featuring talks, performative readings, concerts, art installations, site-specific performances and narrative trails open to the public.

The festival promotes an experiential engagement with the venues, highlights the identity of the local areas and fosters encounters between residents, visitors, artists and cultural practitioners.

The preview programme begins on 11 August in Aggius, in collaboration with Martedì nel Borgo, and continues on 4 and 5 September with Bookolica Calangianus 2026.

The literary festival’s stop in Calangianus offers activities to promote reading, discussion and participation centred on words, feelings and relationships.

The programme culminates in *Romeo non sa cosa dire*, a theatre performance in Calangianus featuring live music and active audience participation.

The project is aimed in particular at national and international tourists interested in authentic and sustainable experiences, whilst also involving the local business community in promoting the destination.
